Get hired for who you are

No more bias when finding your next job. Let people discover you for your values, so the new team feels like a match!

There is a lot of bias when companies screen your profile

Traditional hiring judges your potential based on surface impressions, making it harder to show how you actually work and collaborate.

You get evaluated on a photo or how good you write, rather than your actual daily work ethics.

Your performance in a short interview gets prioritized over your actual capability to solve real problems.

Your core values and team fit are completely overlooked in standard hiring until late in the process—if they get measured at all.

Your unbiased job profile

No photo, no name, no sex and no writing skills. On Folkæt we only care about what makes you you. Together with a value-based personality test, we build your profile for you. You just have to fill in the blanks.

How does Folkæt deal with employer and HR bias?
In the Folkæt marketplace, everyone is anonymous, so employers are not able to see your name, place of origin, education, or markers like age that you can be discriminated against. Instead, your future team members will have to figure out if you are a good match based on your skills, interests, and aspirations that you are responsible for connecting to your profile. We have decided that it should not be possible to write text, for example, so that you can disclose your identity or use AI to create long profile texts, because we believe hiring should be about something else than who is best at prompting. That way we believe we create an unbiased environment for teams to form.
What is the personality test, and why should I take it?
The personality test is a Big Five 50-item markers test of Goldberg (1992) developed by psychologists in the University of Groningen and later translated into English by the Oregon Research Institute. It is a research-based test that is widely used by researchers around the world. We use the test to find out which of the Big Five personality traits that you score highest in, so that we can make sure every team has a diverse pool of personality traits—because research shows that the more diverse perspectives you have, the better the innovation.
Is Folkæt just another passive CV database?
No, we are not. Through Work Pairs we are actively partnering up with companies that are interested in hiring people who fit their team. After users create a profile in our Folkæt marketplace, companies can scout for new team members —and while waiting users can build social and professional networks themselves. With their new profiles users can find their new knitting partner or AI geek they've been missing to team up with. Or finally they can set up that neurodivergent student club? With an anonymous database, users can stay authentic so that companies don't accidently choose someone who tried to fit the mold – and users can finally let go of pretending they are exactly what was written in the job posting the company wanted.
What personal data do companies have access to?

If you choose not to share your name with any group, then you don't share personal data with anyone. We only collect your email as an outset for contact. Anything beyond that is up to you and what you choose to share.

Regarding which suppliers we use (for example, AI), we only use carefully selected European suppliers that cares as much about privacy and transparency as we do. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for more information.
